"Growing up in Virginia I was surrounded by important
architecture," says interior designer Andy Clark.
"From an early age I couldn't help being attuned to
line, proportion, scale and great eighteenth-century
furniture." Clark served a summer internship at Jed
Johnson Associates in 1992 between terms at design
school. "The following year I was hired full-time to
help with a vast project in Vermont," he continues.
"What a trial by fire, but, also what an incredible
learning experience."
Blessed with an extraordinary sense of color and
composition, Clark is an indispensable member of the
Jed Johnson design team. "Andy has an amazing
knowledge of the contemporary art scene," says Jay
Johnson. "An understanding of art is hugely important
when designing for our clients."
Andy Clark's work has been published in a number of
leading periodicals, including Architectural Digest,
Interior Design, House Beautiful, and House & Garden.
